With the support from Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, Wildlife Institute of India (WII) initiated a ‘One-Week Online training workshop on Management Effectiveness Evaluation (MEE) of Protected Areas and World Heritage Sites’ for Indian Forest Service Officers from 25 to 29th October 2021. 20 IFS Officers are participating this course are of various seniority levels from PCCF to DCF. Director, WII, Shri Uttam Kumar Sharma, Field Director Panna Tiger Reserve, Dr. Alok Saxena, former CWLW Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dr. A.K. Gupta, Former CWLW Tripura, Dr. K. Sivakumar, Head Dept. of Endangered Species Management, Dr. Monali Sen, Registrar WII, Dr. Gautam Talukdar, Head Dept. of PA Network WII and other dignitaries have provided their valuable insights into MEE exercise after inauguration today. The sessions in coming days will be insightful and better management of Protected Areas and will be valuable to participants.
