WII conducts various training courses in wildlife conservation and management. These are nine months Post Graduate Diploma for senior forest officials, three months certificate course for junior level forest officials and short term capsule courses for forest officers, army officers etc. A database on officer trainees trained in various diploma and certificate courses has been developed/ compiled by the National Wildlife Database Cell. This database has been very useful in answering a number of queries received here from internal as well as external users. Complete information on these trainees are now available in the form of a searchable database on the ENVIS website as well as on the Intranet of the institute
Currently this database is having information on 549 Diploma and 419 Certificate officers trained in the various Diploma and Certificate courses including 139 foreign nationals representing 20 countries.
