Sub: Constitution of Institute's Search-cum-Selection Committee (ISCSC) for the Recruitment/Assessment promotion at the level of Scientist-G carrying a pay scale of Rs. 18400-500-22400 (pre-revised)

With the approval of the Competent Authority and as per the guidelines contained in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) O.M. No. AB.14017/11/2004-Estt. (RR) dated 30th July 2007 and under Rule 6.4 (ii) of Recruitment and Assessment Promotion Rules for Group-A Scientific Posts - 2008, the Institute's Search-cum-Selection Committee (ISCSC) for making Direct Recruitment and Assessment promotion of Group-A Scientific posts at the level of Scientist-G carrying a pay band of Rs. 37,400-67,000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10,000 is hereby constituted as follows:

In addition to the above, two Subject Matter Specialists (SMS) would be co-opted in the ISCSC. The SMS will be nomited by the Chairman of the Committee. SMS will not have any fixed tenure but will be invited on a case to case basis. The quorum for the meeting of the ISCSC shall be four members including the Chairman and at lease one Subject Matter Specialist.

The terms of reference and functioning of the Institute's Search-cum-Selection Committee (ISCSC) will be as follows

  1. The Institute's Search-cum-Selection Committee (ISCSC) shall consider the eligibility of candidates fore Recruitment/Assessment Promotion in accordance with the provision of the Recruitment and Assessment Promotion Rules for Group-A Scientific Posts - 2008.

  2. The tenure of ISCSC will be for a period of three years from the date of issue of the Notification.

  3. The Non-official Members of the Committee will be entitled to TA/DA as per Rules and Regulations applicable to Group-A officers of the Government of India.
