Workshops for various enforcement agencies

For officers from DRI, ITBP, BSF and SSB : The Institute has conducted four workshops for officers from DRI, ITBP, BSF and SSB in view of sensitization among officers of these organizations, various topics covered during workshop were Biodiversity and its need for conservation –national and global perspectives; National and International Acts, a few case studies related to control of illegal trade; Wildlife Trade and role of other agencies and identifications of wildlife items reported in trade including plants. Participants of First workshop have suggested for a need to have visit of a national park and a field visit to Rajaji National Park has been planned during subsequent workshops to see strategies followed for managing wildlife.
