Subject: Database of Forest Officers trained in Wildlife Management – reg
Sir,
You are kindly aware that one of the mandate of this institute is capacity building of field officers in Wildlife Management. In this endeavour, 450 officers from across the country have undergone the Post-graduate Diploma in Wildlife Management from this institute till date.
We propose to develop a database of all the officers who have undergone the post-graduate diploma in Wildlife Management from the Wildlife Institute of India. The idea is to have a repository of information on all Forest officers having expertise in various aspects of Wildlife management for utilizing their services in training of officers at WII and in states. We are also planning to develop a network of experts for conducting studies on wildlife issues to facilitate policy formulation.
In this regard, it is requested that CVs in the attached proforma may kindly be circulated to the concerned officers for needful at their end. The list of Forest officers of your State/UT who have undergone the PG Diploma in Wildlife Management is also enclosed. The proforma is also available in the WII website (www.wii.gov.in) and the concerned officers may download and send the filled forms electronically to dean@wii.gov.in
